使用過Linux的人大部份都聽過Gaim這套聊天程式，而因為某種因素，他現在改名為Pidgin，不過功能不但不減少，而且還更強大。

或許您會懷疑的是，那這套軟體到底能幹麼？他不僅可以幫您同時上MSN、YAHOO、ICQ等等知名的聊天軟體，而且他還是多國語言，您可以透過增加系統變數的方式，來修改他的語系。

而這套軟體的好處就是免費，而且開放源始碼，另外支援多種平台，您可以在多種不同的平台使用他。
