中國軍費大增　明年將超過英法德總和

美國《紐約時報》引述國防和安全諮詢機構HIS詹氏公司（IHS Jane's）報告指出，中國人民解放軍2014年的國防預算，比2013年的1392億美元大增88億美元，達1480億美元（約4兆4400億元台幣）。

報告指出，中國軍費支出預計明年之前還會持續增加，超過英、德、法3國國防預算的總和，並在2024前超過整個西歐。《紐約時報》分析，中國大幅增加國防預算，是因為與鄰國的領土爭端不斷加劇。
 
美國今年的國防支出達5749億美元（約17兆2470億元台幣），雖遠超過中國，但已較2012年的6643億美元大幅減少。（國際中心／綜合外電報導）
