新北市為流浪動物設中途之家

流浪動物收容所的「安樂死」一直為動保團體所詬病，新北市政府結合民間力量，把流浪動物收容所變成「中途之家」，幫流浪狗、流浪貓找到得以終老的安身之處，以「零安樂」為目標；上午，寵物福利專車載送8隻流浪狗到中華民國動物保護協會送養，動保協會祕書長黃慶榮說，會妥善照顧這8隻「毛小孩」！

動保處表示，新北市共有十處流浪動物收容所，去年總收容數為1萬4706隻，民眾認養數達8430隻，認養比率從100年的12%提升到57.32%；相對的人道處理比率也從100年度57.11%大幅下降到102年度19.28%；而今年1月，人道處理則有16隻。

動保處指出，根據動保法令，流浪動物之家收容天數為12天，但是目前新北市各區動物之家健康犬貓的收容天數都超過一個月，就是希望能達到「零棄養、零安樂、全領養」的目標。農業局長廖榮清表示，除不斷宣導民眾認養代替購買，也多方尋求任何可能增加認養的機會，讓流浪狗、流浪貓得以終老；動保處今天將第1批8隻收容的流浪狗以寵物福利專車送養至中華民國動物保護協會，使這些「毛小孩」有了終老幸福快樂的家。

動保處表示，希望更多民間力量參與，讓動物之家騰出更多的空間，接納更多無家可歸的流浪動物。
